NCCAT Cowboy Life and Legend Seminars

Every four or five years, I conduct an active-learning seminar at NCCAT: North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching, a wonderful site located in Cullowhee, NC. For several seminars, I worked with Donna Glee Williams. In June 2005 I worked with Greg Johnson and Chris Dyke. The attendees, NC public school teachers, do research on ranch and cowboy life, write a poem, often go on a trail ride, and generally have a good old western time. Take a look at some of the Old West Online Primary Sources that we used for our group project.

NCCAT is a very special institution with a special role in assisting and helping retain NC's finest school teachers. If you contact your state legislator, consider mentioning your support for this valuable educational service. NCCAT Seminar Group June 2005 NCCAT Group 2001
